Bag House Dust

At the time of smelting of Lead Scrap in the furnace and also during refining of Lead the fine powder and the flue Gases are released and which are further collected in Bag House Filters as well in Cyclones. This type of Dust has Lead contents from 65% to more than 70%.

Flue gases from furnaces and air from ventilation systems are vented to cyclones, scrubbers, bag houses, etc. for particulate removal. Flue dust must be removed from the separator (air pollution control equipment) and transported to storage, recycle streams, or to off-plant receivers. Dust collection systems can be a significant source of lead exposure if not properly operated, cleaned, and maintained. Lead dust and fumes may be emitted from agglomeration flue gases that contain lead.Lead dust may be emitted from disturbed settled particulate
